about
“The Spirit of the Giant Tree” is a 3D immersive music experience exploring the consciousness of a tree. Contemplating the consciousness of trees, I composed a musical piece portraying the life journey of a giant tree. From a seedling to rebirth, the music embraces the tree's growth, blooming, decay, and resilience despite its environment. Using an ambisonic system, the music surrounds the audience, allowing them to experience the tree's emotions firsthand. As I immersed myself in the composition, I sensed that the giant tree was an extension of Earth's consciousness, embodying the ancient spirit of our planet. Despite the harm caused by humans, I could feel the Earth's power to recover and persevere. In this rapidly changing era, where technology and the pandemic dominate, a sense of impending doom lingers. However, reflecting on the eternal vitality of the Earth, I realized that life will always emerge and fade, guided by her enduring love.
