Ricardo Thomasi is a Brazilian sound artist fascinated by acoustic resonances and digital filters. As a researcher, he investigates music technologies from a model of artificial ecosystems and theories of emergent structures. His artistic work has involved the aesthetics of acousmatic music, live electronics, collaborative multimedia performances and radio art. In recent years, he has taken part in important Brazilian and international festivals in the field of experimental music and contemporary art. He is the manager of the Arte Estranha label, a university lecturer and a workshop teacher in his spare time.
